Brooks Lennon has cemented himself as one of the best crossers in Major League Soccer and has the stats to prove it. He assisted eight goals in 2024 from his right back position, bringing his Atlanta United total up to 34. Lennon and Amador have the potential to be a formidable fullback duo in the future. The pair can both get forward at will, though Atlanta will need to strengthen its squad as a whole ahead of 2025.

"I believe crossing is definitely one of my best attributes as a player," Lennon said. "I always try to provide width in the attack as an outside back. I think it’s important for the team and allows the right winger more freedom."

Lennon began the season with one of those perfect crosses for Giorgos Giakoumakis. In the following game, the same combination occured. Orlando defender Rafael Santos respected Lennon's crossing ability so much that he sold out for the block, allowing Lennon to cut the ball back instead. Another inch-perfect whip into the box conneceted with Jamal Thiare later in March. Atlanta's flying start did not exactly last, though a huge win over Inter Miami was helped by a Lennon assist on a solo Saba Lobjanidze effort. Lennon did not register a goal until the play-in match against Montreal, where he was on the opposite end of a cross.

"Going forward and creating chances is exactly how I get myself into the game and the flow of it," Lennon said. "I am not a traditional outside back that just likes to stay back and defend for 90 minutes!"

The chance creation and crossing stats from Atlanta's right back were flawless in 2024. He made 2.73 successful crosses per game at 36% accuracy, both of which rank at the top echelon of the league. He also creates over two chances per 90 and ranked 13th in the league in the category with 72. As he said himself, Lennon looks to free up his teammates and spring the attack from defense multiple times every match. He excelled with a big striker like Giakoumakis, though his sale to Cruz Azul made life a bit harder. A new addition up top would do Lennon and his team well. Lennon comes in at No. 64.
