Tim Tillman wrapped up his second season with LAFC and easily his best in 2024. He played 42 total matches, amassing six goals and nine assists in all competitions. He appeared 36 times in MLS play and was absolutely everywhere in the center of midfield in each of those matches. Tillman became a crucial piece in LAFC's midfield and is set to become even more important with the departure of Ilie Sanchez to Austin FC this offseason. He excels in ball-winning and works as a perfect funnel from defense to attack.

Tillman got the scoring started early, volleying home his team's first goal of 2024. In El Trafico, he pounced on a fourth minute opportunity at the back post during a 2-1 victory. He starred in a 3-2 victory over the Portland Timbers in April with a low strike from distance. Tillman was also a leading force in the LAFC US Open Cup title over the course of the season. His final goal contribution of the season was in a 4-2 El Trafico loss, where he assisted Denis Bouanga's goal that marked a 2-0 lead, which was collapsed in the second half.

Tillman played the important box-to-box role on the top team in the Western Conference regular season, so that alone should prove his quality. His ability to carry the ball is a massive advantage for LAFC through the midfield. He earns almost two and a half fouls per match as teams try to knock him down and prevent the counter when possible. He wins nearly 60% of his duels and over six and a half per 90. Tillman also completes well over a dribble per 90. His 2024 season was a wonderful display and his team will need more from where that came from in 2025. Tillman comes in at No. 53.
