Hany Mukhtar played his worst full MLS season in 2024 by quite a margin and he was still fantastic. His standard is simply so high that his most previous season was a letdown. He was the undisputed best player in the league in 2022, so a fall to the low-thirties two years later is obviously disappointing. The blame cannot be put on him. Nashville SC seriously struggled and scored just 38 goals, second-worst in MLS. The team was unable to find any consistency and the attack just simply felt lifeless at times. Mukhtar was often alone in his efforts.

A slow season saw Mukhtar score his first goal in a statement 2-2 draw against Columbus at the end of March. He assisted a pair of goals in a 4-1 win over CF Montreal. Sam Surridge remained the main man that he set up. They then went on the road to shut FC Cincinnati out 2-0 with another duo of assists from Mukhtar. He helped beat Atlanta United 2-0 on the road later on. He closed the season on a blazing run of form, which he hopes to take with him into 2025.

The goal and assist tallies sit all alone as the worst of Mukhtar's MLS career across full seasons, with eight goals and 10 assists. He averaged 0.3 xA per 90 and hit on just under two successful crosses per game. He created 2.65 chances per 90 and was constantly looking to pick out his teammates and be that dangerous No. 10 he has been for Nashville for many years. On the defensive end of things, he blocked 1.38 shots per game as well. He was still a great soccer player, but he hopes to bring more success back to the team in 2025. Mukhtar comes in at No. 32.

32) HANY MUKHTAR | MID, NSH | PER 90 STATS (PERCENTILE)

0.3 xA PER 90 (95%)

1.93 SUCCESSFUL CROSSES PER 90 (94%)

1.38 BLOCKS PER 90 (95%)

2.65 CHANCES CREATED PER 90 (89%)
